Tahoe Guest House
Situated midway up the Kingsbury grade in Stateline Nevada the guest house was designed to accommodate the family while the main residence was under construction, to be later converted to a guest house. The area of the site selected was a saddle with a rock outcropping to the west end. The house was shaped by it's location, solar orientation and views. The roof sloped down to the north to unload snow down the slope and up to the south to allow maximum solar access. The stepping up the slope allowed views of the lake from every room.
